Scout Aid Pro
Match analysis · two-team recording

The fixture

Both teams, both squads, and where the footage came from. The report resolves shirt numbers in your notes to these names.

Required to start

Add later (0 of 20 filled) — none of this is needed to start. Each one sharpens the report.

Your team

Opposition — the subject of the brief

Second match — optional

No second match loaded. Record one meeting, save the recording to file, reset, record the other — then load the first file here. Every finding in the report must then say whether it repeats across both games.

Scout's notes — untimed

Context that isn't tied to a minute: conditions, the story of the tie, anything you know that the footage doesn't show. Feeds the analysis, never appears on the report. For observations DURING the match, use the Timestamped note pad — it carries the clock.

StepOut / measured data — optional

If a platform analysed this match (StepOut, Wyscout, a CSV), type or paste its numbers here exactly as you read them. This is the quantitative track the voice input can't produce — possession and passing zones become the sterile-possession mirror, and the ratings name their danger man and their weak link. Kept as a separate, source-labelled evidence track; empty and the report runs on your recording alone.

Paste the ratings list. The report resolves each name to your squads, ranks their side, and flags the lowest-rated opponent as a soft spot — a bottom-rated keeper is shoot-on-sight. Where a rating confirms something you called by eye, it's promoted to solid.

What you said

Every phrase is stamped with the clock and kept word for word, and it reaches the report whether or not it matches an event. Tapping and talking record to the same event list.

How to commentate — the protocol (tap to open)
1 · Open with orientation. Before kick-off, say the team colours, the direction each side is playing, and how you'll refer to players ("I'll call them white 5, blue 22"). Every recording, every time.
2 · Scout, don't commentate. Ball-by-ball narration yields almost nothing. Watch a passage, then say what it told you — the pattern, the moment, the read. Stay silent when nothing changes the picture. Less talking, more signal.
3 · Anchor names with numbers. Transcription mangles names; shirt numbers come through clean. Say "Wae, number 5" — never just the name.
4 · Say the keeper's colour. "The goalkeeper" is ambiguous. "The white keeper" never is.
5 · Flag repeats aloud. "That's the second time", "again", "every time" — that's what promotes an observation to solid evidence in the report.
6 · Speak the minute on the big moments. Goals, cards, subs: say "43rd minute" and the clock snaps to it. Everything else is stamped for you.
7 · Rate each player after the match. After full time, walk BOTH teamsheets aloud — one line per player, anchored to their number ("white 5, competed everywhere, long passing over-hit"). The player cards and the know-their-men index are built from this. Or type the lines into the rating box below.
Fixing mistakes: say "scratch that" to bin the last thing you said. Say "flag this" to mark a moment as important.

Heard & recorded — unconfirmed

Decisive moments the tool picked out of your speech — goals, cards, subs, set pieces. Each one is already in the event list, marked unconfirmed. Delete any mishears; the report double-checks the rest against your actual words.

Rate each player after the match — one line each

The report writes a job card for every one of our starters and a one-liner for every one of theirs. Fill what you saw; leave blank what you didn't — the report will say "no read" rather than invent one. Spoken rating lines in the transcript count too.

Paste a transcript instead

Recorded in Voice Memos or elsewhere? Paste the transcript here. Lines with a spoken minute get stamped; the rest keep their order and are reported as order-only evidence.
